I've never seen the 80's teen flick Some Kind of Wonderful, one of several John Hughes put together in a very prolific and commercially successful period. But I am a fan of the soundtrack, which features several relatively obscure cuts by cult artists such as Flesh For Lulu, Pete Shelley and Stephen Duffy. I recently bought the original 1987 CD for just a couple of dollars. Here's some highlights:
Lick The Tins - Can't Help Falling In Love
The Apartments - The Shyest Time
Blue Room - Cry Like This

one of the best soundtracks of the 80es for sure! if you have the chance, give yourself a kick + watch the movie, maybe my fave of all the ones John Hughes has done during that time - Mary Stuart Masterson as Watts is simply excellent!
Agreed. It's definitely one of his better films, one that doesn't get recognized enough. Great soundtrack too - can't get enough of it!
Wonderful blog you have here. :)
I've been looking for this soundtrack for a while now, with no success. Would it be improper to inquire if anyone might care to upload it?
