Yes, unbelievably there was a time when people were actually paid to listen to this stuff.
Pete Wylie - Diamond Girl
Owen Paul - Pleased To Meet You
Hipsway - Long White Car
Al Jarreau - L Is For Lover
Van Morrison - Got To Go Back
Stephen Duffy - Wednesday Jones
Samantha Fox - Hold On Tight
Five Star - Rain Or Shine
Gladys Knight and Bill Medley - Loving On Borrowed Time
The only ones that set the charts alight were "Walk Like An Egyptian" and "Rain Or Shine", which were both Top 5 hits. Even Samantha Fox fell a little, uh, Flat.

In case you get this message twice...I'm having wireless difficulties this morning.
At any rate, I wanted to give honors to a man that is often overlooked as a huge influence in the 70's and 80's. Van Morrison's songs evoke warm, emotional, memories of a time that can never be recaptured.
Thanks, fp, for all that you do to bring this music - and the attendant feelings - back alive.
