He's On The Beach is one of my desert island songs I cannot live without. LOVE Kirsty forever..
Hooray for the Rainbirds! Largely ignored on this side of the world, my first exposure to them was in 1989 while watching MTV Europe in a Norwegian hotel room. I found a record store in the tiny town the next day and dished out an insanely large number of kroner for their second album, "Call Me Easy, Say I'm Strong, Love Me My Way, It Ain't Wrong."
The song I saw on MTV was the single "Sea of Time," whose video (a massively shortened "single edit" of the nine-minute album version) has been preserved on YouTube for the ages. In retrospect, watching the video now, it absolutely oozes '80s from every pore.
